The Space Imaging Middle East (SIME) family participated in the annual Terry Fox Run for Cancer Research, held in MamzarPark, Dubai last Friday, 15 February, 2008.
The event, a non-competitive charity run held annually to raise funds to find a cure for cancer, saw the SIME family come out in full force to show its support.
Not only did SIME donate funds to the Foundation’s efforts, but the entire SIME team also joined hands and ran the 5km course, along with thousands of supporters ranging from small children to multinational organizations.
The highlight of the day, however, was when SIME contributed a custom-made satellite image map over MamzarPark which demarcated the race course for participants. The map was reproduced and placed at various checkpoints along the route, conveniently guiding the runners through the winding course.
